The 5-a-side pitch at the Shay is a very popular facility with it being used both during the day and in the evening seven days a week. There are a number of leagues in the area that use the Shay facility as their base because of the quality of the pitch and ample parking facilities.
The 5-a-side court
The changing rooms include toilet facilities and showers as well as lock-up facilities for any valuables.
The cost of booking is as follows (per hour):
Off-peak | £25.50 | Monday-Friday, 8.00am-4.00pm
Saturday and Sunday, all day |
Peak | £27.50 | All other times |
Junior rate | £18.00 | Under 16's only |
All bookings include use of floodlights if required.

Children's Birthday Party
Make your child's special day complete with a party booking at the Shay Stadium, and let us do all the hard work.
Each booking costs £90 and lasts two hours. Catering can be provided on request but the package includes the following as standard:

• | Use of the South Stand Lounge or alternative room |
• | Mini tour of the ground |
• | An assistant/referee |
• | A goodie bag for the birthday boy/girl |
• | Junior tickets for a Halifax Town or Halifax RLFC match |
