The Trust » The aims of the Trust
The Shay Stadium Trust is an independent not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.
a) To complete, maintain and operate the Shay on a not-for-profit basis for the benefit of the entire community of Calderdale.
b) To ensure that the facilities are fully accessible with no discrimination against any part of the community
c) To raise the finance necessary to complete the stadium and maximise its income earning potential in order that revenue surpluses are created to:
1) Encourage maximum community participation
2) Benefit our preferred tenants
3) Re-invest in the facilities
4) Subsidise ‘good causes’ use of the facility
d) To be stable and equitable custodians of a public asset.
e) To maintain high levels of probity in all our dealings with each other and with others.
